A Brookville man who was caught with a stolen bicycle valued at $1,500 is facing criminal charges.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Punxsutawney Borough Police filed criminal charges against 42-year-old Casey Spade. The charges stem from an incident on April 15 when police were contacted by Jefferson County Adult Probation to respond to Oakland Avenue to assist with recovered stolen property.
At the scene, police were told Spade had a bike hidden under a tarp that a woman had reported stolen on April 14. The woman reportedly provided video surveillance of the theft to police.
Police also reportedly found a plastic baggie with suspected meth residue, suspected marijuana and related paraphernalia in Spade’s home as well as a large amount of bike parts and frames under the porch which Spade said were not stolen.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 11.

State Police in Kittanning say a NuMine man fired gunshots Sunday at a car with four people inside then barricaded himself in his home and held off state troopers for several hours in Cowanshannock Township of Armstrong County.
51-year-old Joseph Stockdill Jr. allegedly fired the shots at a car occupied by two women, ages 50 and 27, and two children, ages 7 and 3.
No injuries were reported before police took Stockdill into custody.
Investigators Stockdill was held at Armstrong County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 4.

State Police in DuBois say four people were taken to the hospital following a one-vehicle crash on I80 in Brookville Borough on Monday.
Troopers say the crash occurred near mile maker 80 and Richards Street when the driver, 35-year-old Bhim Pradhan of Scranton, lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve in the road.
Police say the vehicle left the roadway, struck and embankment, and overturned before coming to rest in the middle of the east bound lanes.
Pradhan and his three passengers were transported to Penn Highlands Brookville by Jefferson County EMS for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

An Ebensburg man is facing criminal charges after reportedly giving police a false name.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Punxsutawney Borough Police filed criminal charges against 22-year-old Damian Patterson in relation to an incident on April 4.
Police were looking for a man who was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute, found a man that fit the description and made contact with him. He was reportedly uncooperative and attempted to leave in a vehicle.
Police stopped him, asked for his name and birth date, and found that they were false when the driver of the vehicle identified the man as Damian Patterson.
Police found he had multiple warrants for his arrest.
K9 Officer Fury responded to the scene after multiple dryer sheets were observed in the vehicle.
K9 Fury reportedly made a positive detection and police reportedly turned up multiple items of drug paraphernalia, including one with suspected meth residue.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 11.

State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating a report of a burglary in Burnside Township of Clearfield County.
Police say the burglary occurred between April 18 and April 23 at a location along Sylvis Road.
Troopers say a collectible coin collection and a stack of $2 bills were stolen from a 48-year-old Butler woman.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
