The Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center is set to expand its hours.
As of May 2, the center will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Executive Director Marlene Lellock said Sunday hours are a first for the center.
She noted that the board is being fiscally cautious by opting to keep the center closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday because it will take more time for things to get 100 percent back to normal.
Programming for Boy and Girl Scouts is currently being offered but general programming has not resumed yet.
Schools, home schools, cyber and church schools as well as other other groups are welcome to schedule a visit for any Monday through Saturday.
