Clearfield Borough Mayor Mason Strouse has revealed the creation of the Safe Exchange Zone at 14 S Front Street in Downtown Clearfield.
WTAJ News reports, it is a secure location under 24/7 surveillance for people to conduct custody exchanges, online transactions or meet in public spaces. It has dedicated spaces for these transactions and signage encouraging residents to call 9-1-1 for emergencies or County Control for non-emergency issues.
The aim is to create a safe and simple space for residents who need it.
