The initial roster for the Altoona Curve this season will include twenty players who have played for them in the past, two Top Ten Pirates prospects, and former number-one draft choice Termarr Johnson, who is ranked the number 81 prospect in all of baseball.
Other top names in the Pirates’ system who will be starting their season in Altoona are infielders Jack Branigan and Mitch Jebb and left-handed pitchers Hunter Barco and Anthony Solometo. 2024 Curve MVP Kervin Pichardo also returns. The Curve opened their season on Friday at PNG Field against Chesapeake, which used to be known as Bowie.
Hunter Barco will get the start, making his Double-A debut.
