Jefferson County commissioners approved $22 million for Punxsutawney Area Hospital’s expansion, enhancing emergency services and outpatient care.
According to today’s Punxsutawney Spirit, the project includes a new 14,000 square foot addition and significant renovations. Once completed, it will offer improved emergency care, expanded women’s health services, advanced laboratory facilities, and upgraded imaging capabilities.
The project is expected to take two years to complete and will generate local jobs.
