In District 9 action, DuBois Central Catholic crushed Brockway 11–1 in six innings. Several other games were postponed, including Elk County Catholic at Port Allegany (now April 24), Curwensville at Marion Center (May 2), and Johnsonburg at Kane (April 22).
SOFTBALL
In a high-scoring District 9 showdown, Keystone powered past Elk County Catholic 27–17 in six innings. Other games, like Karns City at Punxsutawney and Mount Union at Curwensville, were postponed.
In District 9/10 crossover play, A-C Valley/Union topped West Middlesex 10–3. Central Clarion vs. Lakeview was postponed.
