After going knee-to-knee with another player and then having his right knee give out on a jump stop on Monday night against Gannon, Pitt senior guard Nike Sibande is out for the season with a torn ACL. Pitt is already without guard Jamarius Burton, who had a procedure done on his injured knee last month and will be out for the early portion of the season. At the time of the injury on October 8th, Burton was projected to miss four to six weeks.
Sophomore William Jeffress will pick up the majority of Sibande’s minutes.
